How do I transfer my account at another brokerage to OptionsHouse?

In order to initiate an account transfer please log in to your account and complete the transfer form online. You may scan and email any required documents to [email protected] or fax the documents to 312.284.4775. ACAT Transfers can take between 5-7 business days. Non-ACATs are unable to be processed electronically and can take up to 30 days.

Please note:

  • We must have a full copy of your most recent statement; otherwise, we cannot process your account transfer. If you have not yet received a statement from your other brokerage firm, we will be unable to process the account transfer until a statement is available.
  • If the account type at the delivering firm does not match your account type at OptionsHouse, Section 7 of the Customer Account Transfer Form must be completed and signed by all account owners.
  • If your transfer request involves an IRA, you will need to have a matching IRA at each firm prior to the transfer (Traditional to Traditional, Roth to Roth, etc.)

Please note that large block position transfers involving certain low-priced securities may be subject to delay due to additional due diligence required to ensure that the shares are fully registered and not subject to any resale restrictions.
