Question

  • How do I choose which columns to display in the option chain?

Answer

pointer The "custom mode" of the OptionsHouse options chain can display up to 32 columns between the call and the put sides of the chain.  Customers have the ability to customize their chain by selecting as many (up to 32) or as few columns as needed.  Note that the call and put columns do not need to be symmetrical. First, ensure that the option chain is in "custom mode" instead of basic mode by selecting "custom" from the drop-down menu on the option chain.

Next, click on the "gear" icon of the option chain, which is located to the right of the drop-down menu.

This will default to the "Chain & Quotes" menu under the "Preferences" tab of your Manage Account screen.

From here, use the checkboxes to select which columns you would like displayed (choices include bid, ask, implied volatility, delta, theta, etc.).

Note that you can select all call/put columns and deselect all call/put columns with the click of a button. (You can also change the order of these columns by clicking and dragging the columns into your preferred order.)

Finally, click the "Save and Close" button.

Once again, ensure that the option chain is in "custom mode" instead of basic mode by selecting "custom" from the drop-down menu.
