Position Summary

OptionsHouse has an exciting opportunity for an Online Marketing Manager to run our Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Pay Per Click (PPC) activities. We are a national online options and stock retail trading brokerage. Our company is aggressively expanding and looking for talented and experienced professionals to join us and be a part of our growing team.

A qualified candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to create, monitor and grow SEO & PPC campaigns across multiple properties while also pursuing appropriate online advertising opportunities and site traffic initiatives. This position is at the heart of our conversion efforts to bring in new customers. You must be highly analytical, possess a creative marketing personality, and want to work in a fun, non-political, growth oriented company. An expansive multi-million dollar online program currently exists and a talented individual is needed to manage its growth while lowering our cost per lead (CPL) and increase ROI.

By using tools to access the data warehouse and web analytics program, the analyst examines, formats and interprets data; then communicates findings and makes recommendations for future efforts to internal partners. This person is a strong communicator who is capable of making actionable recommendations.

Candidates should have a proven track record for driving customer acquisition growth and delivering against direct response metrics via the web. They should also have a strong understanding of Web analytics and a disciplined approach to conversion optimization.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Gathering and analyzing data from web analytics programs to identify key performance indicators, understand online traffic patterns, segment customer behaviors and prioritize site issues resulting in improved web site performance.
  • Manage all PPC campaigns across all PPC platforms (Google, Yahoo!, MSN, ASK, etc.)
  • Achieve a targeted ROI for all ad spends on a daily basis
  • Ensure optimal campaign performance
  • Develop new and eliminate underperforming PPC ad copy/keywords
  • Perpetual testing and optimizing of new keywords, ad text, position and landing pages
  • Reconciliation of billing and program costs across all PPC properties
  • Monitoring and reporting of competitor campaigns
  • Manage relationships with search engines and our advertising properties
  • Utilization of third-party analytics tools
  • Analyze click and conversion data, ad expenses and ROI
  • Pursue limited amount of non-PPC online marketing opportunities

Candidate Attributes

  • Minimum 5-7 years solid experience in managing $1 million+ SEM and PPC budgets
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Ask.com PPC platforms
  • Solid proficiency with Excel spreadsheet analysis
  • Experience with using keyword research, SEM copywriting skills, third-party PPC bid-management applications
  • Knowledge of web analytics applications
  • Detail-oriented organizational skills and above-average written and communication skills
  • A guerilla sensibility, an appetite for risk, a big thinker. We need someone with experience but who is still open-minded and crazy enough to be innovative.
  • Ability to implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies
  • Basic HTML skills
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Experience with web visitor tracking applications
