Options traders live or die by the option chain, which is why we consistently strive to streamline and ultimately improve the options chain functionality in the OptionsHouse trading platform. Our most recent enhancements to the chain give our customers more control of their trading experience.
After logging in to your account, you can access the options chain configuration menu by clicking on the “custom” button in the upper right-hand area of the options chain.
1. Colors
This isn’t a new feature, but the OptionsHouse platform now provides a sneak preview of how your chain will look in both Day and Night mode. (A white background and black background, respectively).
Depending on your personal preference, you can change the background appearance of your trading platform by clicking on the “wrench” icon (the second-from-the-last icon on the right, circled in blue above) and selecting the radio button that corresponds to your desired background.

2. Columns
While in “pro mode” of the option chain, you can see up to 22 columns between the call and put sides of the chain; the sides of the chain do not need to be symmetrical. Customers can select as many or as few columns as they want by first clicking on the “wrench” icon.
Next, choose the desired columns from a list that includes bid price, implied volatility, and all of the “Greeks.” You can select all call or all put columns by clicking a button. Note that if all 13 call columns are selected, for example, only nine put columns can be displayed (for a total of 22 columns).

Customers can also change the order of these columns by adjusting the “<” and “>” arrows below each column.
3. Strikes
The platform now allows customers to change the number of strikes displayed. After clicking on the “wrench” icon, select the desired number of “strikes around the at-the-money.” For example, choosing “3″ will show three strikes below the at-the-money strike and three strikes above. Selecting “0″ will display all available strikes.
